Fireworks cause many dogs and other animals anxiety, as the light and the sounds terrify them and make them lose their ability to know where they are in their environment.
Changing the diet of your dog to one with higher protein level is not appropriate in aiding a management programme for fireworks.
Solutions:
– Playing desensitivation music
– Using a swaddle wrap/shirt
– Establishing a safe haven for your dog to go into
