Yoda, the Chihuahua, having fun during Stay-and-Care boarding!

Yoda is a truly adorable dark grey anthracite Chihuahua !

Here he is, enjoying a little break away during Stay-and-Care boarding. He settled really well and seemed to enjoy investigating all corners, smells, and running in the garden area! Very inquisitive!

It is always rewarding to see a calm and reserved dog come out of his shell, Yoda gains a lot from experiences outdoors and through Stay-and-Care boarding. It helps him build his confidence and awareness towards other dogs.

Millie, the French Bulldog, and Ziggy, the Cross Pug/Cocker Spaniel/French Bulldog/Boston Terrier!


Tinica took Millie, the French Bulldog, and Ziggy, the Cross Pug/Cocker Spaniel/French Bulldog/Boston Terrier, for time outdoors along Holland Road area. They also spent time in Brook Green.

Millie is learning to calm down when around other dogs she meets.

Ziggy was very friendly towards anything and anyone, which was nice.

Tinica then took Ziggy to Holland Park. He behaved very well and seemed to love playing in the rain!

Coquette the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, during dog Stay-and-Care boarding

Coquette is the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel female.

She enjoyed dog Stay-and-Care boarding for a few days, which allowed her to have some of her own fun!

This is a brilliant alternative to dog Day care, allowing them to relax and get used to spending time away, in a comfortable and always fun way.

All Things Canine Conference Speakers: July 2017

The Conference covers ‘All Things Canine’! You can attend with or without a furry.
It is spread over three days and takes place near Oxford.
It includes demonstrations with the below speakers, see their details and information, some participation, with delicious lunches each day and refreshments all day too!

Paul Daly – 1 ½ hours

‘Puppies, and the importance of getting it right at the beginning.’

Creating the right relationship fro  the start with the right advice & guidance. Build the right relationship based on trust and balance for you and for your dog.

 

Andrea Marsh – 1 hour

‘Canine Shiatsu: acupressure therapy for your dog’s health and wellbeing’

Shiatsu is based on the Chinese Meridian System and uses finger pressure on the acupuncture points. Shiatsu can aid your dog’s recovery, give pain relief, promote healing, aid a better quality of life into old age, and aim to balance emotional or anxiety issues.

 

Martin Deeley – 2 ½ hours

‘Building a bond with retrieving’

In this session Martin will explain how retrieving helps build a relationship with a dog. Delegates will be encouraged to do retrieves with their dogs in this presentation. We will work on ways of improving the retrieve and how problems can be minimized and overcome. The aim is to show the approaches to building a strong relationship and ‘want to’ in a dog, by including retrieve training and exercises in the training programme. Training, exercise, relationship, reward and fun – Retrieving. Make a training session pleasurable with retrieving and also develop the foundation for a working and competition dog.

 

Lynne Marshall – 1 ½ hours

‘The client factor’

After running a successful international business and now using many of the same techniques to develop a profitable dog training business, Lynne talks about winning and maintaining valuable clients using a modest budget.

 

Peter Cassidy – ½ hour

‘The Koehler method of dog training, myths and facts’

An overview of the method from a trainer’s perspective. Is it suitable for one-to-one training, group training or board and train? Find out how it stacks up against more recently developed methods.

Carley Stewart / Marc Goldstein – I hour

‘Socialisation’

Carley and Marc have been running socialisation classes in Sussex for some time, and will be demonstrating a typical class at the conference. No two classes are ever the same as it depends entirely on the quantity and mix of dogs on the day. After the demonstration an open discussion will take place, going over what happened in the class.

Ivan Rolls – 1 hour

‘Protectors and companions’

An insight into the world of protection dog training. Ever wondered how dogs are selected, trained, tested and qualified as personal protection dogs? Or interested in what it would be like to live with a high drive protection dog? Ivan lives with a pack of five high drive protection dogs all fully trained in personal protection, and also uniquely have assisted in the behavioural rehabilitation of over a hundred dogs staying with Ivan on board and train programmes. In this session you will discover how puppies are selected and trained through to adulthood to be safe, sociable and capable personal bodyguards!

 

James Frost – ½ hour

‘Pack walking and understanding pack behaviour’

James explains the importance of rules and boundaries when walking a large pack of dogs, and how he assesses and integrates a new dog into his pack. James will also discuss pack behaviour, and how dogs instinctively understand what it means to be a member of a close-knit social group.

 

Derek Bryson – 1 ½ hours

‘Stress recognition and fairness of punishment’

Learn to recognise signals of stress within your dog and train fairly. The objective of punishment, how and when to punish, the benefits of indirect/direct punishment.

 

Alison Taylor Reed – 1 hour

‘Healing and communication with dogs’

Hear how Alison heals and communicates with dogs, and learn how to find the still point within yourself so you can ‘hear’ what your four legged friend is thinking and feeling.

 

Nicky Helyer – 1 hour

‘The ups and downs of working at a rescue’

An insight into some of the highs, lows, biggest challenges, learnings and ethical conundrums in rescue, from both the canine and human perspectives. The theory of running a ‘good’ rescue can seem simple; the reality is it isn’t!

 

Paul Whitaker – 1 ½ hours

‘Getting your dog on track’

Why teach a dog to track? How to start tracking with your dog. Tracking and trailing, practical uses of a dog’s aptitude. Man hunting. The ultimate quarry.

Welcome to Yoda the male Chihuahua, enjoying dog Walking!

Yoda is the very cute anthracite grey little male Chihuahua.

He has just joined EmmanuelleChaix for regular dog Walking.

Yoda is still shy although also cheeky. He likes to share his toys when back home, in the hope that he may get a treat !

Owners of Mocca the Shih Tzu, and Evie the Pomeranian, are back from New-York !

Here is a great picture of Mocca and Evie’s owner with her daughter and son, they have just returned from New-York today !

Mocca and Evie, the seven years old Shih Tzu male and three years old Pomeranian female, had a brilliant time in London over the end of year period.

They enjoyed the winter fresh air and cosiness by the fire place, whilst socialising with other dogs!

Jura and Sark, the two Miniature long-haired Dachshunds during Stay-and-Care boarding!

Here are Jura and Sark, the two very beautiful Miniature brown and black long-haired Dachshunds.

They are both females, you can see them below during their Stay-and-Care boarding in London.

Because of their size and short legs, Jura and Sark need short walks to keep them happy, they are always enthusiastic going out and enjoy playing in the grass!
